Everyone, meet Nikolette! You can call her Niko.

Her primary medium is oil paint, but close second is gouache. She is passionate about creating spaces where everyone can tap into their creative side and experiment without the pressure being judged. Niko hosts a variety of different classes in Denton each month. When she isn't painting in her studio, you can find her trying all the best soup dumplings in DFW and spending time outside with her husband, daughter and dog.

Niko has a contagious love for all things creative and we feel lucky to work with her. We just know you will feel the same way!

Painting with Gouache: Forest Landscape

Discover the joy of painting with gouache in this hands-on workshop taught by Niko! Gouache is a versatile water based paint. It’s often considered somewhere between watercolor and acrylic paint. Vibrant colors, great for layering, and a quick dry time that artists rave about.

In this class, we’ll explore what makes gouache unique, learn essential color relationships, and practice brush and application techniques to build confidence with the medium. Once the basics are covered, you’ll be guided step by step through creating a beautiful forest painting with time to complete in class
