Thoughtful Stocking Stuffers: Small Gestures, Big Impact

One of my favorite parts about Christmas gifting is the stocking stuffers. The little gifts that say “I see you. I know you. I care about you.” There can be a temptation to fill them with “fluff” or stuff that doesn’t actually have any meaning or intention as long as they fill space, but we think there is another way. Our mission is clear: to guide you towards intentional and thoughtful choices, not merely for the sake of supporting small businesses but also for the discernible financial benefits it brings. It’s the concept of “less but better,” in which you purchase less and spend less but purposefully make thoughtful choices so the impact is greater on both the recipient’s heart and your wallet.

It’s possible to be intentional and not spend too much when it comes to stocking stuffers. Check out our curated list of stocking stuffers, some from us, some from other small businesses that we know and love, all picked with purpose:

  1. Sea Salt Caramels- We have been carrying Jacobsen sea salt caramels for a long time in the store, and they have definitely become a customer favorite. This year, we got new boxed sets of both the classic sea salt caramels and the chocolate sea salt caramels, which would make a great tasty treat and take up a bit more space.

  2. Sunprint Kit- These are really affordable and a lot of fun! Each kit comes with 12 sheets that you can make your own little art pieces with in the most beautiful shade of indigo. I’ve done these with my kids, so I know that they are fun for children and adults alike.

  3. Plant Care Picks- These plant care picks are super practical and a unique gift for the plant lover in your life! No one has to forget when they last watered or fertilized their plants ever again! They are also designed in Denton by our workshop coordinator, Savvie Studio, so we think that makes them extra special.

  4. Incense sticks with a Minimal Water Drop Incense Holder- Cute, cute, cute! All of our incense smells amazing, and the tiny minimal brass incense holder completes the gift!

  5. Le pens or Gelly Roll Pens with a Self-Care Checklist- We have so many fun notepads, including our new Squiggle Tail Cat notepad, but if the recipient isn’t a cat person, we think the Self-Care Checklist is a sweet and encouraging nudge towards health and self-care.

  6. Take a Break Zine- Let’s face it, lots of us need a little break. Add this to the stocking with a gift card to a local coffee shop to make it extra thoughtful.

  7. Cozy Socks!- These are oh-so-comfy and stylish. Win-win for warm feet!

  8. You Are Loved Ribbon- We design all of the ribbons in-house. They are quite versatile in that they have a blank card attached to the back that you can write a little note on. They can be used as a bookmark or a cute little art piece.

  9. Hum Drum Bookmarks- A stick of butter, a bagel with lox, hot sauce, a fish, and a watercolor palette. There’s a bookmark for everyone!

  10. Big Heart Tea Samples- A delish taste for the tea lover in your life.

  11. Mini Chocolate Bars- These chocolates are a staple in the store, and the unique flavors make them extra fun.

  12. Music Box- This is a really fun option for the music lover in your life

  13. Dominoes- You can’t go wrong with the classics!

  14. Mini Colored Pencil Set- Great for the little artists in your life! These are adorable compact and even come with a tiny pencil sharpener!

  15. Non-Toxic Nail Polish- I know that nail polish can be a risky buy because you aren’t sure of its staying power. I’ve been so impressed with how long our Glam & Grace nail polish lasts. Make it extra special with some nail stickers and/or cuticle balm, and it’s a whole set!

For more ideas, you can check out our stocking stuffer gift guide, and don’t forget the stockings! We have a striped stocking and a smiley face stocking, both designed by Baggu!
