Discover the magic of transforming a simple sheet of metal into a beautifully detailed work of art. Metal embossing, also known as repoussé, is an ancient decorative technique that has been used for centuries to create everything from ornate jewelry and ceremonial objects to architectural details. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn how to create raised designs using simple hand tools, bringing your drawings to life with texture, dimension, and light.

We will create one-of-a-kind ornaments, charms, or decorative pieces while exploring a craft that is both relaxing and incredibly satisfying. Bring your own simple design or choose from a collection of pre-drawn templates featuring nature motifs.

No experience is necessary. Whether you're a lifelong maker or trying something completely new, you'll leave with a finished keepsake and a new creative skill.

Meet Your Instructor:

This workshop is taught by Savannah of Savvie Studio. Savannah is a maker and art educator who is living and learning in Denton, Texas. She received her BFA from the University of North Texas in Visual Art Education Studies. Savannah is passionate about sharing art making practices with others, as she believes that working with ones hands is a therapeutic and empowering act. When Savannah isn’t working in her studio or teaching a workshop, she can often be found hiking with her three dogs, or getting lost in a good book.
