Join us as well learn how to sew a classic smock dress on Tuesday, June 16th and June 23rd from 6-9pm!

In this workshop we will be sewing with the Hubba Ding Charlie Dress pattern! This dress is as cute as can be and is a beginner friendly dress that will teach the following skills: facings, inserting sleeves and, gathering hemming. All materials will be provided. We will be sewing with cotton fabrics sourced from Thistle Creative Reuse. Please view the size chart and send your size when confirming a seat in the class.

This is a two part class and we will meet on June 16th and 23rd.

No machine? No problem! We will have machines in class for students to use. If you have a machine at home that you would like to bring, we highly suggest you bring it so you can be comfortable sewing.

Meet Your Instructor:

This workshop is taught by Denton's Digital Seamstress, Lillia Whittington. Lillia is a Denton based influencer who is using her love of sewing to educate the community of Denton and online about how to sew. She has been sewing since she was 4 years old, and graduated in 2018 with her BA in Fashion Design. She has worked for Bailey's Blossoms and Haggar Clothing Co. as a technical designer developing patterns and fit across both brands pre-covid. After she was furloughed, she started blogging full time under the name The D. Diaries. Now, Lillia has rebranded to cover her favorite topics of sustainable living and sewing on Just Lillia. Lillia currently is a TA at TWU in their fashion program, runs a sewing school in Denton, and can be found on the weekends with friends, family, and her husband and blind cat, Toph.
